The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) organized a lottery draw to allocate developed residential plots to farmers and landowners who contributed land under the land pooling policy for its IT City initiative. On Monday, the draw took place at the Mars auditorium of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, where applicants were invited to engage in the lottery process.
The event was also broadcast live on YouTube. LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar stated that the scheme is being developed over approximately 3,490 acres along Sultanpur road. Landowners who signed agreements with LDA by January 31 were eligible to participate in the draw. Plots in six different categories were distributed through the draw, which included residential plots measuring 288, 200, 162, 128, 72, and 35 square meters.
A total of 549 plots were allocated. The plots were designated in sectors 15, 16, 17, 18, and 30 of the IT City scheme. Approximately 350 landowners pooled nearly 550 acres of land under the policy. The land designated for the project encompasses various villages in Mohanlalganj tehsil.
LDA officials indicated that applicants whose agreements were finalized by the deadline were invited on stage to draw the slips. Numerous farmers and landowners present at the venue remarked that the process was conducted transparently.
