The Waterproofers Association of Karnataka (WAK) celebrated its first anniversary on 23rd July 2024. Formed in 2023, WAK is a group of enthusiastic waterproofing contractors, distributors, and applicators from across Karnataka, united by the common goal of enhancing the standards and practices within the waterproofing industry. The anniversary celebration took place at the Century Club, Cubbon Park, K.R. Circle, Bengaluru.
The anniversary celebration began with the registration of members, followed by the introduction of the esteemed WAK Board Members, who were recognized for their significant contributions and leadership over the past year. This was followed by the introduction of the Chief Guests, who were acknowledged for their support and involvement in the waterproofing industry.

Over the past year, WAK has organised numerous workshops, training sessions, and seminars to educate its members on the latest waterproofing technologies and practices. The association has also established a certification program to recognize professionals who meet the highest standards of excellence in the industry. Furthermore, the association has actively engaged with government bodies and industry stakeholders to advocate for better policies and regulations that support the waterproofing sector.

The Waterproofers Association of Karnataka (WAK) was the only registered body for waterproofing applicators, distributors, and dealers in Karnataka. The association was dedicated to unifying the sector, enhancing standards, and facilitating collaboration between manufacturers and applicators. It aimed to provide a uniform platform for the industry, offering legal support, standardising processes, and organizing educational events to keep members updated on the latest developments and best practices. Through these efforts, WAK aimed to foster a more cohesive and professional waterproofing community in Karnataka.

- To keep the fraternity updated with the latest advancements in the industry through regular presentations, meetings, and practical training sessions.
- To hire and maintain a highly motivated team across the state to achieve exceptional growth and consistency.
Vision:
- To unify the waterproofing industry in Karnataka by bringing together contractors, applicators, and manufacturers to work collaboratively and establish consistent standards.
- To become the leading hub for training and innovation by providing cutting-edge education and technical expertise to keep members at the forefront of industry developments.
- To promote professionalism and ethical practices by fostering a culture of integrity and fair competition, and eliminating detrimental practices like price undercutting.
The anniversary celebration concluded with a motivational speech by Mr. Vignesh, aimed at inspiring and energising the attendees. A vote of thanks was delivered, expressing gratitude to all participants and supporters. The anniversary celebration was a significant milestone for the Waterproofers Association of Karnataka (R), reflecting on a successful year and looking forward to continued growth and collaboration within the waterproofing industry.
