Sangareddy collector M Hanumantha Rao has cautioned people against buying plots or houses in illegal layouts. The collector got houses being constructed illegally at Rudraram village in Patancheru mandal in a 100-acre venture demolished.
Two officials have been suspended for allowing illegal layouts and constructions to come up. Rudraram panchayat secretary Veeresham was suspended for not informing his superiors about the illegal layouts and not stopping the constructions that were coming up on them. The village sarpanch has also been issued a show cause notice for the second time.
Raheem who served as panchayat secretary of Kandi panchayat earlier has also been placed under suspension. Before his transfer to Narayankhed Gangapur, he had given permission for construction of 104 houses in an illegal layout. Based on these findings by an enquiry done by the divisional panchayat officer, he was suspended.
“The public should not take the risk of purchasing plots and houses in illegal layouts,” collector Hanumantha Rao said. “Strict action will be taken against those developing illegal layouts,” he said.

The collector said the sarpanch had not been discharging his responsibilities. He was not planting saplings during the Haritha Haram programme of the government and was also not taking care of the saplings that had been planted. The village was also not being kept clean and there was a delay in the construction of a cremation ground, the collector said.
