Two-day camp for property owners to sort out issues

According to the plan, the authority is planning on the camp on December 10-11. Senior officers of the estate department and the staff of all the wings will remain available during the camp to settle people’s grievances.

The estate office of Chandigarh administration is all set to organise two-day camp for the public. The camp will allow the owners of both commercial and residential properties to resolve property related matters, issues, and complaints.

According to the plan, the authority is planning on the camp on December 10-11. Senior officers of the estate department and the staff of all the wings will remain available during the camp to settle people’s grievances.

“Multiple issues like completion certificate of the properties, building plans, online applications, transfer of properties, updation of property records etc are key issues,” said the sources.

It is also hoped that the estate department will be able to sort out the hurdles in online system so that people could be encouraged to use online platform in future.

This will be the second such camp in the recent past. Of late, UT administration has been streamlining estate office — recently it transferred many employees, who either completed three years here or not performing, to the other departments. The department has also identified some corrupt officials.
