Tangedco has now set a time frame for either accepting or rejecting the applications.
“The entire process of issuing technical feasibility has to be completed within a time frame of 15 days from the date of payment by the applicant,” reads the circular.
Once a consumer pays the necessary charges, his application for rooftop solar system will be forwarded to the respective executive engineer through the USRP portal.
The EE should forward it to the AEE, and the latter should submit a report if the premises could be given solar rooftop system within seven days.
The report should be approved by the executive engineer within three days thereafter on the online portal.
Tangedco officials would conduct a safety inspection within seven days and then the net meter should be installed in the next seven days.
