The Tambaram Corporation has repaired more than 700 damaged roads in its five zones at an estimated cost of Rs 5.43 crore. The roads were repaired under the Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Infrastructure project.
Corporation commissioner R Alagumeena instructed a 21-member team — comprising a chief engineer, engineers and others — to expedite repairing of roads in more areas. She asked the team to focus on quality.On Tuesday, the civic body repaired Samuel Street in Pammal (ward 6) and Janakiraman Street in Sembakkam (ward 38).
