The Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) has extended the deadline to submit the suggestions for the state government’s draft resettlement and rehabilitation policy for slum dwellers till November 3.
According to an official press release, the extension has been given the following representation from the public in this regard.
The draft policy states that the policy is applicable only for encroacher/non-titleholders of the land, where displacement is proposed for involuntary resettlement.
It may be recalled that the previous deadline seeking suggestions from stakeholders on the draft policy was to end on October 27, 2021.
