With an aim to provide all possible basic facilities to the commuters on the upcoming Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, a Highway Village is being set up on the Expressway in Unnao.We have identified the land at the Greenfield section for the Highway Village,” said project director, NHAI Lucknow Saurabh Chaurasia
The work on the Greenfield, being developed at the 31 km milestone of the Expressway, has also started on the other side of Sai river.With the Highway Village, the commuters will be able to get maximum basic facilities.
This Highway Village will include restaurants, hotels, food court, banks, workshops, fuel stations including CNG stations and charging points.
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is constructing approximately 63 km of six-lane Lucknow -Kanpur Expressway. In the first phase, an 18 km elevated road is being constructed between Lucknow and Bani.
“This expressway will be connected to Purvanchal Expressway, Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Ganga Expressway. Keeping in mind the convenience of commuters, we have decided to build a Highway Village comprising facilities like restaurants, hotels, food court, banks, workshops, petrol pump, fuel stations and charging points, where commuters can take rest.
