Following Haryana government’s orders, the Panchkula municipal corporation (MC) has decided to give 15% rebate on property tax to people opting for self-certification by September 30.
MC commissioner Sachin Gupta said the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) department has decided to give a rebate on property tax in 2023-2024. The information was shared with all MC commissioners by commissioner and secretary, Haryana ULB Vikas Gupta through video conferencing.
Sachin said the ULB had given a rebate on property tax till July 31 in the last financial year.
In a meeting held on Saturday through video conferencing, ULB secretary Vikas Gupta said the government has now increased the rebate to 15%.
Sachin said the rebate will be given only to those people who will self-certify their property. He said this self-certification will have to be done on the NDC portal and for this, people have been given time till September 30.
