Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for a major infrastructure initiative in Andhra Pradesh. This project, estimated at Rs 5.54 billion, involves the construction of a six-lane access-controlled roadway linking Visakhapatnam Port to the Sheelanagar junction via the Sabbavaram bypass. The 12.66-kilometre stretch will be constructed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) as part of National Highway (NH) 516C.
According to the terms of the contract, the project is expected to be completed within a period of 730 days. This initiative aims to improve connectivity to Visakhapatnam Port, thereby enhancing traffic flow and logistical efficiency in the area. The contract is part of RVNL’s regular business activities and does not involve any transactions with related parties.
The project is part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen transportation infrastructure and facilitate economic growth in Andhra Pradesh.
