Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for a residential development of 62780 sqm of land at Chaupla Railway Colony, Izzat Nagar, Bareilly for 99 years. Bareilly is one of the 100 Smart Cities being developed in India, and is one of the counter magnet cities of the National Capital Region (NCR).
The complete land area of the project is divided into two parts: Part A (19660 Sqm) is earmarked for mandatory redevelopment of railway assets (railway quarters and Part-B (62780 Sqm) is earmarked for residential development. The reserve price for the site is fixed as Rs 160.50 crore. The Railway land is located opposite to police line at Chaupla, Chauraha-Mission hospital road. It is primarily a residential cum commercial neighbourhood located beside police line and ayub khan market.
Vice-chairman of RLDA Ved Parkash Dudeja said, “Bareilly was identified as one of the 100 smart cities being developed in India and is fast catching up as a promising hub for IT/ITeS services. Seamlessly connected with the city centre, the proposed site at Izzat Nagar, Bareilly is ideal for residential development.”
The developer will also be mandated to redevelop 190 quarters, manoranjan hall and other minor structures as part of the railway colony redevelopment. The last date to submit the e-bids for the proposed site is 20th May 2022.
