Registration of properties in Mumbai region up 20% in November 

The registration of properties in the Mumbai region increased by 20 percent in November, reaching a total of 12,219 units, as reported by Knight Frank. In comparison, 10,216 units were registered in November of the previous year.

According to data from the Maharashtra government, real estate consultant Knight Frank India noted that the city of Mumbai (within the jurisdiction of the BMC) saw 12,219 property registrations in November, marking a 20 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth.

This figure represents the highest number of registrations for the month of November since 2013, as stated by Knight Frank in a release on Sunday. Stamp duty collections amounted to Rs 1,038 crore, reflecting a 12 percent increase year-on-year.

Residential transactions remained predominant, constituting approximately 80 percent of the total registrations for the month. Shishir Baijal, Chairman & Managing Director of Knight Frank India, remarked, “The stability in both volumes and revenue underscores a mature demand cycle and sustained buyer confidence throughout Mumbai.”
