Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express with Tejas rakes here on Monday. He will reach Bhubaneswar on Sunday morning on a two-day Odisha visit.
The train fitted with Tejas coaches is fit to run at 200 km per hour. It has several facilities including electro-pneumatic assisted brakes, automatic entrance plug type door, improved lavatory, passenger information system and digital destination board, electronic passenger reservation chart integrated with the infotainment system (having LCD on the back of chairs).
On Sunday, he will attend locally organized programmes at Konark and Cuttack. He will conduct an inspection of Cuttack railway station.
The minister will inspect Bhubaneswar railway station on Monday morning. He will also inaugurate a Train Management Centre at Khurda Road on Monday afternoon. After this event, he will review works of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) zone. Before returning to New Delhi, he will review postal and telecom works in Odisha, said the official sources.
