Prism Johnson’s net loss widens to Rs 63.35 crore

Prism Johnson's consolidated total income stood at Rs 1,785.94 crore in Q3 FY23, a growth of 8.41 per cent from Rs 1,647.42 crore it recorded in the similar quarter last year.

Prism Johnson, a building materials company, has reported consolidated net loss of Rs 63.35 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2022. It had recorded loss after tax of Rs 0.72 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the company said in a BSE filing.

The company’s consolidated total income stood at Rs 1,785.94 crore in Q3 FY23, a growth of 8.41 per cent from Rs 1,647.42 crore it recorded in the similar quarter last year.

During the quarter, Prism Cement segment constituted 42.9% of overall revenues, HRJ segment constituted 36.1% and Prism RMC segment constituted 21%, it said in the investor presentation.

As of December 31, 2022, the company’s net worth stood at Rs 1205.42 crore, debt-equity ratio was 1.42, total debts to total assets was 25.97%, operating margin was 3.46% and net profit margin was -3.64%, it said in the regulatory filing.

Cement & clinker sales volume grew 9.4 per cent year-on-year to 1.37 million tons, tiles sales volume declined by 6.8 per cent year-on-year while Ready-mixed concrete sales volume grew 12 per cent in Q3 FY23, it said in the investor presentation.
