The Greater Chennai Corporation has appealed to residents to pay their property taxes before November 15 to avoid penalties.
Following the property tax general revision for the first half of the financial year 2022-23, the general revision for the second half has been done now and the payment portals was opened on October 1.
Corporation commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi said if residents paid the taxes within the first 15 days, they would get an incentive of 5% of the property tax.
So far, a total amount Rs 4.64 crore has been disbursed to beneficiaries who have paid second half of their property taxes between October 1 and 15.
