Now, pay fee for leaving LDA’s plot vacant

The fees will amount to up to 5% of the land value. Its implementation will reduce pollution on vacant plots and facilitate the construction of houses, providing a clear path for those in need of housing.

Lucknow Development Authority(LDA) may impose undeveloped plot fees on individuals who fail to commence construction on their plots within five years of the registry.

The fees will amount to up to 5% of the land value.

The plan is currently under discussion and is expected to receive board approval soon. Its implementation will reduce pollution on vacant plots and facilitate the construction of houses, providing a clear path for those in need of housing.

LDA vice chairman Indramani Tripathi, who chairs the policy committee on building fee collection, said the fees will be collected five years after the property is registered. Therefore, individuals seeking construction plan approval after five years must submit construction costs to the LDA.

If you do not pay the costs, the construction plan will be rejected. If the plan is approved, the applicant will be given three years to start the construction. After that, the plan will no longer be valid.
