The Noida Authority on Thursday sealed the marketing offices and unsold inventory of three projects over dues amounting to Rs 1,000 crore.
The action was taken against two projects of Gardenia Group in sectors 46 and 75 for not clearing dues worth Rs 707 crore, and a Logix project in Sector 137 for non-payment of Rs 380 crore
On Thursday, a team of officials from the group housing, planning and work circle departments carried out the sealing drive. In Gardenia Glory in Sector 46, one tower with 110 unsold flats and the project office were sealed.
The project was allotted in September 2009. Of 20 approved towers, seven have been issued occupancy certificates. As on March 31, the builder owed Rs 603 crore.
In another project in Sector 75, the Authority sealed one unsold flat. This project was sanctioned in 2012.The builder owes the Authority over Rs 103 crore.
In Logix Blossom County in Sector 137, two unsold flats, two store locations and a marketing office were sealed.
Prasun Dwivedi, an OSD in the group housing department, said, “The developers have not applied under the reschedulement policy or flat registry schemes. They did not deposit any amount with the Authority even after repeated notices. For the execution of pending registries and the recovery of dues, such action will be taken against defaulter builders in the future as well.”
