Mahindra Logistics and L’Oréal India have collaborated to launch the first fully women-operated warehouse in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This pioneering initiative seeks to empower women in the logistics sector by assigning them complete responsibility for operations, representing a notable change in workforce involvement in this field.
The team of women, equipped with training in self-defence, fire safety, and leadership, is poised to improve operational efficiency and foster gender equality in logistics. This facility will facilitate distribution throughout Central India, enhancing delivery times and ensuring service continuity for L’Oréal’s products.
Through this initiative, both organizations are promoting inclusive, digitally-driven, and future-oriented supply chain solutions. “By inaugurating this facility, we are not only improving supply chain efficiency but also cultivating a more inclusive and gender-balanced logistics environment,” stated a representative from Mahindra Logistics.
