Surie Polex Stain Protector Concentrate Application Method
Surie Polex Stain Protector is a concentrate that needs to be diluted with water before use. Here’s a step-by-step guide for effective application:
Dilution:
- Dilute Surie Polex Stain Protector Concentrate at a 1:1 ratio with water before application.
- Prior to the main application, test the product on a small sample area of the polished concrete to ensure compatibility and receptiveness.
Submerging:
- Use a sprayer to apply a light mist of Surie Polex Stain Protector onto the concrete surface. Immediately spread the solution evenly with the microfiber mop to ensure 100% coverage, avoiding any dry streaks or puddles.
Burnishing (First Coat):
Once the surface is dry to a tack-free state, use a high-speed burnisher with a 3000 grit pad or a white pad to burnish the floor. This will enhance the gloss and protection.
Second Coat Application:
Repeat the spraying and spreading method for a second coat of Surie Polex Stain Protector and allow it to dry completely.
Burnishing (Second Coat):
After the second coat is dry to a tack-free state, burnish again with the high-speed burnisher using a 3000 grit pad or a white pad.
Additional Coats (If Necessary):
For areas prone to heavy spills, consider applying a third coat before burnishing. Ensure the surface is tack-free before proceeding with additional applications.
Curing Time:
The floor will be ready for light foot traffic once it is tack-free. It can handle equipment traffic within 24 hours.
Note that concrete remains porous, even after densification and polishing, and densifiers can take up to two weeks to achieve full densification.
Choosing the appropriate concrete sealers and protectors is key to improving the durability, appearance, and lifespan of polished floors. Surie Polex Stain Protector Concentrate effectively meets these needs, providing reliable protection and enhancing surface quality.
