JDA starts work to develop Rajasthan’s first land pooling scheme

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has put forward five new land pooling schemes aimed at promoting organized urban growth, which will encompass industrial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

According to officials, two of these schemes are set to be developed along Mahal Road, while the remaining three are proposed for Agra Road, Kalwar Road, and near Tonk Road in Sanganer. JDA has pinpointed a 127.08-hectare area in Ramchandrapura, situated between Rampura and Kanwarpura villages, which is primarily designated for industrial purposes, with more than 58% of the land allocated for industries and recreational areas, including road networks that can reach widths of up to 200 feet.

Additionally, a 266.42-hectare site encompassing Vidhani, Rampura, Kanwarpura, Jaichandpura, and Vimalpura villages has been chosen mainly for residential development. On the northeastern fringe, a site adjacent to Khori Ropada village along Agra Road has been earmarked for development as part of the heritage city initiative, incorporating both residential and industrial elements.

Furthermore, a mixed-use project covering over 380 hectares is proposed along Kalwar Road, and another is planned in the Muhana Mandi area, where 62% of the land is designated for residential use, along with provisions for public and semi-public facilities.
