“In last six months, we have recovered at least Rs 7 crore in around 110 such cases” the senior district registrar Deepak Kumar Sharma said, adding that the department has identified around 300 people, who have more than Rs 1 lakh as due fees.
These registration of properties that have more than Rs 1 lakh/each due have been categorized into different categories including that found in the audit of calculation of the fees or under valuing the assets and not paying the entire fees or applying for property registration by submitting partial amount and then not completing the process, he explained.
Sharma added that these cases are 4 months to around 20 years old.“We approached such property owners, who have pendency of more than Rs 1 lakh as after making recovery from them, we will identify other cases of lesser amount as well for taking similar actions” he said.
