Continuing the sale of open plots, especially in the western part, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has decided to conduct land auctions for stray bits in various areas of the city. The auctions will be conducted on August 18.
The plots to be auctioned are located in Kokapet, Nallagandla , Manchirevula , Bairagiguda , Chengicherla, Ameenpur, Chandanagar, Budvel, Velmala, Gandimaisamma, Bowrampet and Bachupally. Stray bits are basically unsold plots due to their size, vaastu and other reasons.
The metropolitan authority has marked 26 plots of areas from 300 square yards to little more than an acre. The upset price has been fixed depending upon the locations.
While the minimum bidding price is 65,000 per sq yard in Nallagandla, it is 50,000 per sq yard in Budvel, Chandanagar, Peeramcheruvu near Gandipet and Manchirevula. The lower price has been fixed at 12,000 per sq yard in Nandigama Rameshwaram Banda near Patancheru and 40,000 per sq yard in Ameenpur. In the northern part in Suraram, it is 25,000 per sq yard.
The HMDA said that during the bidding the prospective buyers have to enhance minimum 10,000 per sq yard or multiples.
Officials sources said smaller plots would likely be bid by individuals, while developers would be interested in land parcels above one acre in Velimala, Manchirevula, nearly one acre in Peeramchervu and Suraram, and half acre plots in Bachupally.
Even some individuals may bid for group housing projects, officials said.
