Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said that the Global City project to be developed in Gurugram with an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore will generate five lakh employment opportunities after its completion.
The Chief Minister convened a meeting with investors at the project site in Gurugram. Saini highlighted that this initiative, with an investment exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore, is projected to benefit around 16 lakh individuals. Upon its completion, it is expected to generate approximately five lakh employment opportunities.
The project will span 1,000 acres and will include mixed-use land, featuring designated areas for residential, commercial, hospitality, and educational purposes.
He also mentioned that the first phase of the project, designed to meet global standards, is scheduled for completion by the end of next year, with an investment of Rs 940 crore allocated for the development of 587 acres. To ensure a dependable water supply for the city, the Chief Minister stated that a Mass Balancing Reservoir with a capacity of 350 million litres will be constructed over an area of 18 acres. This reservoir will not only serve as a significant water storage facility but will also enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal.
