Gujarat govt approves Rs 291 crore for public development works

Pursuant to the proposal submitted by the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board to the Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, in-principal approval were given to Vadodara Municipal Corporation for 227 infrastructural development works of Rs. 84.22 crore.

Gujarat Government under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana for the growth of civic amenities and welfare works in the towns and cities of the state sanctioned Rs 291.22 crores for various public facility development works in the two Municipal Corporations of the state, Vadodara and Gandhinagar.

Pursuant to the proposal submitted by the GujaratMunicipal Finance Board to the chief minister Bhupendra Patel, in-principal approval were given to Vadodara Municipal Corporation for 227 infrastructural development works of Rs. 84.22 crore.

CM has given an in-principal approval of Rs. 208.33 crores to the Vadodara Municipal Corporation for 112 works of infrastructural development including water supply, drainage, rain water scheme, street light, building projects among others. He has sanctioned Rs. 17.34 crores for social infrastructural development works including 112 works of zone level water, sewerage, roads etc.

He has given in-principle approval for the allocation of 58.55 crores for the works of 3 bridges under the Urban Mobility Project in Vadodara.

The chief minister has also given in-principle approval to the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation to allocate Rs 7 crore from the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana for the year 2022-23 under the Mukhyamantri Shahri Sadak Yojana.

This amount of 7 crores will be utilized by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation for the construction of two new asphalt roads in Khoraj, Zundal, Amiyapur, Sughad, Koteshwar and Bhat village TPs included in the Gandhinagar metropolis.

Proposals for development works under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana in these two cities were submitted by the respective municipalities to the CM Patel through the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board.
