MP public assets management department has put another property, a land, on sale in Indore’s Malharganj area at initial bid of Rs 8.19 crore.
According to senior administrative officials, the Madhya Pradesh government had around three years ago released an order to auction government property that are not in use or are encroached, with an aim to generate revenue.
To sell such property, the state government has set up MP public asset management department in September 2020 for efficient management and rationalization of public assets, including monetisation of unused property.
The portal’s dashboard showed as many as 11 property of Indore have been considered for monetisation and seven out of them have been sold out.
Besides, an around 23,200 square feet property of the finance department is under review while tender in process for three property including 4.843 hectare at Kila Maidan Road, 0.89 hectare in Talawali Chanda and a 1080 sq metre land situated in Nipania under Juni Indore tehsil.
The department has now invited tenders to sell 13,560 square metre land situated in Ward-9 in Gadrakhedi under Malharganj tehsil and its initial bid has been kept as Rs 8.19 crore. Interested persons can submit their bids between September 8-29 while the e-auction will take place on October 3.
“There are some property, which are either listed on the portal or are being considered for it, but the same have some encroachments that will soon be removed to put the lands for e-auction,” ADM Sapna Lowanshi said.
