Godrej construction,looks forward to supply its concrete materials in the upcoming town NAINA (Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area) near Mumbai.
The chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, announced the town, which is located north Panvel and close to Mumbai.In a recent interaction with Anup Mathew, Executive Vice President & Business Head of Godrej Construction said about NAINA, “We are already preparing to put up our own ready mix concrete plants in that area. So, as that part of the city develops, we will be supplying construction materials both in terms of ready mix concrete as well as our blocks and pavers and walling solutions which are there with AC blocks etc in those areas as well”.
The company produces recycled pavers and blocks as well as lightweight AAC blocks, which are commonly supplied to Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Kolhapur for use as building walls. In addition, the business uses precast concrete materials for infrastructure projects.
“We have used pre-cast technology for supplying coastal road projects. The company has provided large overdamped consignments of stormwater drain and outfall systems which have been culverts, box culverts which had been made”, Mathew said.
Further, he said, “The company has provided its concrete materials for the lining segment of the Mumbai underground metro rail project, within which the Metro Rail moves”.
Discussing the ongoing projects in Mumbai, Mathew said, “The company is also supplying the overhead precast concrete elements for Mumbai metro rail line 4 and also for the bullet train project.” In addition to providing concrete for the bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the company has constructed its factory in Bilimora, Gujarat.”
In order to reduce the pollution, Mathew pointed out that Godrej Construction makes sure that the foundation of every project they work on is sustainability. The company has many plants that are completely enclosed on construction sites
“We need development but we also need to be mindful of how to control pollution. Godrej construction does various things on the construction site, materials are manufactured to the internal standards and specifications”. Mathew said.
