The builder of a group-housing society in Rajnagar Extension on Tuesday allegedly withdrew its security guards and housekeeping staff over a maintenance fee-related dispute with the apartment owners’ association (AOA), leaving the residents in a lurch amidst the lockdown.
After a complaint lodged by the residents, the GDA has threatened to register an FIR against the builder if he did not resume the services by evening.
Around 850 families live in the Classic Residency society. Pawan Tyagi, AOA president, said, “We are not against the transfer of the maintenance services to us but want our long-pending demands to be considered. This move was arbitrary.”
KK Jain, director of Shree Energy group, the developer, refuted the allegations and claimed that the AOA owes around Rs 2 crore to them in dues.
