Acting on the direction of deputy commissioner (DC) Madhavi Mishra, the district mining department on Thursday lodged an FIR against 40 brick kiln owners who have been running their business without receiving the consent to operate (CTO) from the pollution department. The FIR was lodged at Ramgarh police station.
District mining officer (DMO) Nitesh Kumar Gupta said, “The mining department has registered an FIR against 40 brick kiln owners who have been operating their brick kilns in Ramgarh district without getting the mining and pollution control no objection certificate (NOC) as per norms. It has caused a huge loss of revenue for the state exchequer.”
