CM Yogi and Rajnath inaugurate 206 projects worth Rs 3,666cr

Development projects worth Rs 6,000 crore were given to Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow Outer Ring Road and Lucknow Green Corridor were inaugurated. Lucknow MP's efforts were praised. BrahMos Missile Centre, Forensic Research Institute, and Atal Medical University were also inaugurated, providing employment opportunities.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid foundation stone for 206 other projects worth Rs 3,666 crore in Lucknow on Monday.

The two also virtually attended the inauguration of various NHAI projects by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which included the 104-km long Lucknow Outer Ring Road and the Lucknow Green Corridor.

The CM said that the development of Lucknow is in line with the vision of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was also an MP from Lucknow and was being implemented was being implemented ably by the current MP Rajnath Singh, who was not just ensuring the security of the country by protecting its borders but also establishing Lucknow as a model city and a smart city.

“The 104-kilometre-long and 8-lane wide Lucknow Outer Ring Road, also known as Kisan Path, which was inaugurated by PM Modi from Gurugram, will solve the problem of traffic jams in Lucknow. In addition to this, the Green Corridor being built by Lucknow Development Authority, which runs along the Gomti river, will connect with the Shaheed Path and is set to ease traffic congestion even further,” the CM said.

The three packages of the Kisan Path which were inaugurated on Monday have been built at a cost of Rs 5,500 crore. The project is set to streamline travel for commuters heading to Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Sitapur, Gonda, Hardoi, Kanpur, Varanasi, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, and other districts in eastern UP, eliminating the necessity of passing through Lucknow to reach these destinations and will therefore lead to a massive reduction in traffic.

The CM also said that the first phase work of the Green Corridor had been completed on Monday and the entire project would be ready at the earliest.

Detailing other developments in state capital Lucknow, the CM said that with the help of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), the Defence Ministry was also inaugurating the BrahMos Missile Centre in Lucknow, which would open up new avenues for start-ups and employment opportunities for the youth.

“All the youth in UP, especially those to whom the government has distributed free smartphones and tablets, should realise that this is a huge opportunity for them,” the CM added.In addition to this, the new Forensic Research Institute and Atal Medical University in Lucknow were also inaugurated on Monday, with the CM crediting the Lucknow MP for the various development projects in the city.
