CM Performs Bhumi Puja for construction of 4-lane Flyover at Lumding-Dimapur Road

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took part in the Bhumi puja for the construction of the proposed 1.4-km long 4-lane flyover along with a two-lane extended arm on Lumding-Dimapur Road at Diphu, Karbi Anglong.

The project of Rupees 243 crore budget will lead to the overall infrastructure development of Assam as stated by the chief minister.

This major initiative by theAssam governmentwill also ease the traffic in Diphu town which is in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

Moreover, after the completion of the project, it will set a new milestone in the infrastructure growth and development of the state.

The CM took his social media account to inform that he along with other ministers on Friday participated in the Bhumi puja for the construction of the flyover.

He wrote “happy to take part in Bhumi Puja for construction of a 1.4-km-long 4-lane flyover along with a 2-lane extended arm on Lumding-Dimapur Road at Diphu, Karbi Anglong.”

The chief minister further added, “besides easing traffic in Diphu town, the ₹243-cr project will set a new milestone in our infrastructure growth.”

Other ministers to take part in the occasion includes Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Rongham, Deputy Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly Dr. Numal Momin, Member of Lok Sabha Horen Sing Bey and Diphu MLA Bidya Sing Engleng,

Apart from these several other MLAs of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong district were present during the Bhumi puja occasion for the construction of a 4-lane flyover on Lumding-Dimapur Road.

The Members of the Autonomous Councils of the KAAC also attended the event along with the CM and other ministers on Friday.
