Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Wednesday revoked building permission of 16 structures being constructed in Pragati Green Colony for allegedly violating set norms and conditions.
According to IMC commissioner Pratibha Pal, the decision to revoke the building permission of 16 under-construction structures in Pragati Green Colony under ward 76 of zone 19 was taken for violating set approvals.
“All 16 structures were being constructed against approved building permissions while owners of these properties were issued notice and were asked to make the required corrections but to no avail,” IMC building officer of zone 19 Gajal Khanna said adding that property-owners continued the construction against the approved building permissions and violating other norms.
Therefore, building permissions of all 16 under-construction buildings have been revoked.
Meanwhile, residents of Imli Bazaar whose 107 structures have been marked to be removed completely or partially to pave way for a proposed road widening work of Indore Smart City Development Limited (ISCDL) on Wednesday morning registered their resentment.
According to affected property owners, they were neither taken into confidence, nor were they satisfied with the central line being laid for proposed road widening work as the raised questions over the alignment. ISCDL officials however claimed that it will take the next few days to lay the central line and identify the portions that will need to be removed.
