Bihar is set to establish its inaugural Fintech City in proximity to Fatuha, inspired by Gujarat’s GIFT City. This development will span 242 acres and has been sanctioned with a budget of Rs 408.81 crore for land acquisition.
The hub is anticipated to serve as a focal point for financial and technology enterprises, startups, and a logistics park, thereby generating substantial employment opportunities and encouraging innovation throughout the state.
Industry Minister Dilip Jaiswal remarked that the initiative will unite banks, investment institutions, insurance companies, fintech startups, and IT firms in a singular location. “This initiative will offer state-of-the-art infrastructure and a conducive policy framework, allowing banks, investment institutions, insurance companies, fintech startups, and IT firms to function effectively,” he emphasized.
The project will feature a multi-modal logistics park aimed at facilitating direct exports from Patna and enhancing trade, in addition to a specialized technology cluster designed to foster research and innovation. Officials have characterized it as Bihar’s first extensive hub for contemporary financial services, with the capacity to revolutionize the state’s economic and financial landscape.
