BDA to launch 3D online platform for home purchase

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is poised to embrace advanced technology with a new online platform that will enable prospective buyers to explore its flats and villas in 3D and complete the entire purchasing process digitally, thereby eliminating the need for multiple visits to physical offices.

The website, which is anticipated to launch by the end of this month, will offer virtual tours of each unit, along with information such as total price, availability, parking facilities, application deadlines, and payment timelines. With the exception of the final registration at the Sub-Registrar’s office, all other procedures—from application and document submission to payments and obtaining the ownership certificate—can be conducted online.

Previously, BDA’s online system only facilitated basic bookings with limited floor plans. The enhanced platform will include videos, comprehensive specifications for each flat and villa, and real-time updates. Buyers will have a period of up to 180 days to finalize registration, with no interest charged if completed within 90 days; however, delays beyond this period will incur interest.

Officials have stated that this initiative will address complaints regarding bureaucratic delays and provide a more streamlined property purchasing experience for home buyers.
