The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reiterated its dedication to the timely completion of infrastructure projects, with the initial phase of the Bandra-Dharavi flyover expected to be completed by 30 November 2025.
During an inspection, Additional Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar remarked, “Once this phase is completed, two new southbound lanes will be available for traffic, offering direct access to the Mahim Causeway flyover.” Currently, 90 percent of the work has been accomplished.
There has been a strong emphasis on adhering to timelines, and officials have been instructed to obtain all necessary permissions in advance. As part of the broader Mithi River widening initiative, the flyover is structured in two phases to minimize disruption to water flow. Commissioner Bangar also assessed the Worli flyover project, which is 30 percent complete and is expected to connect E Moses Road and Dr Annie Besant Road by December 2026.
Additionally, the Bandra skywalk, which is 80 percent complete, is anticipated to open before 31 December 2025, in accordance with directives from the Bombay High Court.
