Avaada Group has declared a significant investment of Rs 9,200 crore in renewable energy initiatives in Rajasthan, thereby strengthening the state’s position as a solar energy center.
This investment encompasses extensive solar power and battery energy storage projects, including a 1,560 MW peak solar facility and a 2,500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System located at Pugal in Bikaner, in addition to a 200 MW solar project at Sri Dungargarh. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated these projects, underscoring their critical role in India’s shift towards clean energy.
These initiatives are expected to create employment opportunities for thousands, enhance grid stability, and make a substantial contribution to India’s goal of reaching 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Currently, Avaada operates 2.2 GW of capacity in Rajasthan and nearly 5.7 GW across the country, with this expansion further solidifying its leadership in the industry.
