The MahaRera has refused to lift suspension on the registration of as many as 182 projects which failed to meet conditions of updating quarterly reports about the projects.
Promoters of as many as 222 projects had requested the MahaRera to lift the suspension by stating that they had not only paid the penalty, but also updated their quarterly progress reports.
However, when a scrutiny was carried out by MahaRera, only 40 of these projects were found to have fulfilled all the conditions. MahaRera therefore directed the promoters of the remaining 182 projects to submit all the information again. The regulatory body also pointed out lacunas in the reports updated. Earlier in September, MahaRERA had suspended the registration of as many as 363 projects over missing updates.
