CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed UP Housing and Development Board to launch one-time settlement (OTS) scheme for house owners who are defaulting on payment to the board.
Presiding over a review meeting, Yogi asked the officials of housing and urban planning department to launch the scheme for three months.
The CM’s announcement holds significance as it comes amid soaring numbers of house allottees defaulting on payments and thereby causing revenue loss to the housing board and development authorities.
He also ordered fixing responsibility of the officials who did not take action against the defaulters. CM directed the housing board officials to set up a committee to ensure transparency in execution of OTS scheme.
