Colliers India's chairman and managing director resigns

Sankey Prasad, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Colliers India, has tendered his resignation from his role. He also served as CMD for the Middle East engineering division, known as Colliers Project Leaders Middle East.

As stated in a release on Tuesday, Prasad has vacated his position as Chairman & Managing Director of both Colliers India and Colliers Project Leaders Middle East. “Operating from the Middle East, Prasad will now concentrate on selective entrepreneurial ventures and offer technical assistance at the strategic board level to developer and investor clients within the real estate, infrastructure, and capital projects sectors across India and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region,” the statement further noted.

While Prasad has stepped down from his role as CMD of the Colliers Project Leaders Middle East division, he will maintain an ownership interest in the firm. A civil engineer by training, Prasad commenced his professional journey in 1983 and has held prominent leadership positions with significant developers and construction companies both in India and internationally before establishing Synergy Property Development Services in 2003.

Under his guidance, Synergy evolved into one of the largest project management and design-build consultancy firms in India. In 2019, Synergy was acquired by Colliers International, as mentioned in the statement.
