Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Monday launched a series of infrastructure and development projects in Sattari aimed at accelerating regional progress and enhancing the quality of life for locals. The health minister, power minister and Poriem MLA were also present at the function.
The projects include the development, operations, and maintenance of a wellness destination centre and eco-cottages, repair and beautification of the Shri Sateri Ajoba temple, construction of a 15MLD water treatment plant, and conversion of the 11kv aerial bunched (AB) cable to an 11kv underground cable for the Keri feeder, extending from Morlem to Keri village.
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to sustainable development and align perfectly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming rural infrastructure and creating holistic growth opportunities for our people,” Sawant said.
Health minister Vishwajit Rane said that infrastructure development is the cornerstone of national progress. “These projects exemplify the forward-looking approach championed by Prime Minister Modi, demonstrating the collaborative efforts of state and central govts in realising the dream of a developed, empowered, and self-reliant India,” he said.
Minister for power Sudin Dhavalikar emphasised the potential of the projects, stating, “These initiatives symbolise govt’s commitment to accelerating rural development, enhancing infrastructure capabilities, improving citizens’ quality of life, promoting sustainable tourism, and ensuring comprehensive water security.”
Poriem MLA Deviya Rane said that the wellness destination centre and eco-cottages will not only boost tourism but also create employment opportunities as per the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
