One more Vande Bharat train service would be available for North Andhra region people as the Railways is commissioning the train from Vizag to pilgrim center Puri from March 12. The train would be operated six days a week except Saturday.
Vizag-Secunderabad Vande Bharat superfast express linking both Telugu states Telangana and AP started on Jan 15 of last year is running with a good occupancy rate.The Waltair Division Railway Manager Saurab Prasad told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would flag off the train in virtual mode on Tuesday.
The Train 20841 Puri-Vizag would start at 5.15 am at Puri and reach Vizag at 11.30 am. Vande Bharat would reach in six hours to the destination. It will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, and Vizianagaram.
The Vande Bharat train starts at 5.15 am at Puri and reaches Khurda Road at 5.57 am. It would reach Brahmapur at 7.40 am, Palasa at 8.48 am, Srikakulam Road at 9.33 am, and Vizianagaram at 10.18 am before reaching Vizag at 11.30 am.
In the return direction, the train starts at 3.40 pm at Vizag and reaches Vizianagaram at 4.30 pm Srikakulam Road at 5.28 pm, Palasa at 6.20 pm, Brahmapur at 7 pm and Khurda Road at 8.55 pm before reaching Puri at 9.55 pm.
The train journey distance from Vizag to Puri is 468 km and the port city has two trains including Garib Rath (22883) and Puri-Tirupati Express (17479), apart from other trains coming from other cities. Railway sources said that Vande Bharat will have a composition of eight coaches including one executive coach and seven chaircar coaches.
