TNHB places petition box to submit grievances

The petition box will be available for a month in the TNHB office situated near KK Nagar police station in Trichy, the petitions will be forwarded to a special cell in Chennai for finding solutions within a month.

A petition box was placed in the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) office on Saturday for the beneficiaries in five districts, including Trichy to submit grievances about troubles in getting registration documents and allotment orders for housing units.

The petition box will be available for a month in the TNHB office situated near KK Nagar police station in Trichy, the petitions will be forwarded to a special cell in Chennai for finding solutions within a month.

TNHB officials said that some of the beneficiaries might be residing in the dwelling units developed by TNHB by possessing only the allotment order.

As the sale deed document is also necessary, officials said that beneficiaries requiring such crucial documents can drop a grievance in the petition box to find a swift solution.

“A committee in Chennai appointed by the state government will inquire about the petitions, and they will decide whether a solution for the petition could be provided or not. The box will be available at the TNHB office till June 30,” an official source in TNHB said.

People from Ariyalur, Perambalur, Pudukottai, Karur, and Trichy can benefit from the opportunity. Petitions on issues in allotments of housing units in upcoming projects can also be submitted. Such petition boxes are placed at 16 locations across the state.
