Cracking the whip on the real estate firms that have been selling open plots and flats without any registrations, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has slapped notices to many firms on Wednesday.
According to RERA chairman N Satyanarayana, notices were slapped on Neemsboro group, Excellence Properties, Prestige Group projects, Urban Yards, Happy Dream homes, Seven Hills, Kavuri Hills, Rivendell Farms, Sumadhura Infra Projects and other companies for advertising their projects and pre-launches without RERA registration.
He said some companies like JB Infra Projects (JB Nature Valley) have been selling the plots without mentioning RERA registration number in its pamphlets and advertisements. “With this, prospective buyers cannot verify the properties details on the RERA website which is also a violation of RERA Act,” he added.
The RERA also served notices to some real estate agents, who are selling open plots on behalf of infra companies without registration. The firms and realtors have been asked to give their reply to the notices within 15 days, Satyanarayana said.
