Telangana CM Revanth Reddy will visit Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple on Monday for the first time after taking charge as the chief minister. Later, he will go to the temple town of Bhadrachalam, where he will launch the Indiramma Housing scheme, the fifth of the guarantees promised by Congress in its election manifesto in the assembly election.
He will leave for Yadagirigutta from Begumpet airport in a chopper and offer prayers along with a couple of ministers. Later, he will heli-hop to Bhadrachalam and offer prayers at Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple.Then, he will launch the Indiramma housing scheme at a programme organised at agriculture market committee ground in Bhadrachalam.
Telangana govt requires over 20,000 crore to implement the first phase of Indiramma Housing scheme at the rate of 3,500 houses in each of the 119 assembly constituencies.
The state govt has already released 3,000 crore for implementation of the scheme and is seeking central funds under housing for all and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana schemes.
As part of Indiramma Indlu or Indiramma housing scheme, the state govt would extend 5 lakh financial assistance to those having a piece of land, towards construction of their own house with a mandatory guideline for construction of a toilet and a kitchen.
