For this, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved the proposal for construction of ROB in lieu of level crossing at various 15 important places located in Begusarai, Darbhanga, Samastipur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Nawada and Katihar districts under the Setu Bandhan scheme. At the same time, Bihar Government’s Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen said that with the construction of ROB, on the one hand, road accidents caused by rail will come down in the state, on the other hand the problem of jam will also be freed and traffic will be smooth. He further said that the Ganga path would be extended from Digha to Sherpur and from Didarganj to Bakhtiyarpur.
In this regard, in a high-level meeting on Monday, the officials of Bihar State Road Development Corporation have been directed to take necessary action for the detailed project report.
