RLDA invites bids for leasing out 29,065 sq meter land

The proposed land parcel is located near the railway colony and will be leased out for 99 years. The reserve price of the land is approximately Rs 28.47 crore.

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for leasing out a 29,065 sqm land parcel at Sirsa, Haryana, in the Bikaner division of railways for residential development (67% residential and 33% commercial).

The proposed land parcel is located near the railway colony and will be leased out for 99 years. The reserve price of the land is approximately Rs 28.47 crore. The pre-bid meeting was held on August 25, in which developers participated and their queries were answered. The last date for submission of e-bids is October 7.

Ved Parkash Dudeja, vice-chairman of RLDA, said, “The proposed land parcel located at Sirsa is a predominantly residential development where 33% can be developed as commercial. This kind of development will facilitate a holistic ecosystem in that region. Sirsa is continuously moving forward on the path of development. To give more impetus to development, the government has launched a slew of infrastructure initiatives.”

Sirsa district is the largest district of Haryana state. The state government has planned substantial infusion of funds in this region with announcement of development works worth Rs. 575 crore for Sirsa district — Rs 13 crore for health, Rs 88 crore for road network, Rs 34 crore for water draining, and Rs 226 crore for development works in rural areas. RLDA is a statutory authority of the railway ministry for developing railway land. Four key mandates are part of its development plan.
