MahaRERA member hears record 101 cases in day

MahaRERA had stopped physical hearings due to lockdown from March 20, which resulted in many cases pending. Prior to lock down, when physical hearings were conducted, MahaRERA members heard around 25 cases daily

MahaRERA member Vijay Satbir Singh on Wednesday heard a record 101 complaints online.

MahaRERA members hear around 10 cases daily online after lockdown. But with an increase in pending cases due to lockdown, Singh heard a record number of cases on Wednesday to clear the backlog. Most cases heard were from Mumbai, while the others were from Thane. The complaints were heard for the first time.

In June, MahaRERA prepared an SOP for online hearings, and started online hearings in July. After MahaRERA resumed hearings, preference was given to older cases.
