To prevent mushrooming of illegal structures in the city and promote accountability, the building branch officials will now maintain each record online on the challan management system (CMS).
Earlier, the challans were either uploaded online monthly or annually. Also, the status of most of them remains ‘pending’. Therefore, now the data uploaded online will be monitored daily and the officials will have to upload their redressal as well.
In the last few months, there were several complaints regarding violators continuing construction even after their buildings had been sealed.
There are many violations reported in the city and despite warnings, the situation remains the same.
Meanwhile, MC commissioner Shena Aggarwal who had issued the orders has been transferred and Sandeep Rishi has taken over.
The civic body was incurring financial loss and the MC officials were being subject to criticism.
The zonal commissioners were also directed to check the working of the building branch. The MC commissioner had also asked the officials to maintain two registers one for sealing and other one for desealing.
Aggarwal said the officials concerned were preparing the data to receive complaints and provide the redressal online. Objections sought for change in approved layout of pvt colony
