KEC International has bagged orders worth Rs 845 crore for railway infrastructure, the RPG Group’s flagship infrastructure company said on Monday.
The two orders mark the company’s entry into the regional rapid transit system and metro sectors in India.
“These orders are in line with our strategy for expanding our railway presence. These orders mark our entry into the urban transport sector and further expands our client portfolio,” managing director and chief executive Vimal Kejriwal said.
This business would help KEC “in building a robust executable order book, thus enabling us to scale up the business and achieve the desired growth plans”, Kejriwal said.
The orders entail a Rs 580 crore job to construct an elevated viaduct and stations of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System corridor, from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation.
