JK Cement has been recognized as the preferred bidder for two limestone mining blocks located in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, while simultaneously enhancing its cement grinding capacity in Karnataka.
The company successfully acquired the Ituari-Jharkua limestone block in Panna district, Madhya Pradesh, which spans 350 hectares, through an e-auction organized by the state government. Additionally, it has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Dommarnandyala Block-3 in YSR Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, which covers an area of 1,188 hectares. In a separate development, the company has augmented its grinding capacity at the Muddapur plant in Karnataka by one million tonnes per annum (MnTPA), raising the total grinding capacity of the unit to 4.5 MnTPA.
The plant also has a clinker capacity of 2.64 MnTPA. Advt This capacity enhancement has been accomplished through debottlenecking and optimization of existing operations, without the need for new infrastructure. As a result of this expansion, the company’s overall grey cement production capacity has increased to 32.26 MnTPA, which includes the capacity from its subsidiaries.
