The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has prepared a road map to issue lease deeds to more than 92,000 plot owners in the second phase of Shahar campaign.
In campaign which will continue till March 2023, the JDA has set a month-wise target of issuing lease deeds in every zone.
An official said, “As per the plan, the JDA will issue approximately 6,000 lease deeds per month. The civic body has already carried out a survey and prepared a plan to distribute 67,000 lease deeds. The process to issue more lease deeds is underway.”
In May, the civic body will organise maximum number of camps, 296 to issue the lease deeds. Also, to benefit people living in unapproved schemes developed on agricultural land, before and after June 17, 1999, will also benefited.
An official said, the state assembly in March had passed the Rajasthan Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill, 2022, by voice vote extending the cut-off date for converting agricultural land into non-agricultural in the urban areas from June 17, 1999 to December 31, 2021. This means leases can now be given to colonies on agricultural land that have been developed till December 31, 2021.
“So far, the JDA has carried out a surveyed 893 such schemes. There are 61,079 plots in these colonies developed on agriculture land. Lease deeds will be issued to most of the colonies,”
To date, the JDA has issued more than 32,602 lease deeds. In the recent meeting, chaired by the Jaipur Development Commissioner, Ravi Jain directions were given to officials to set target, how maximum benefit of the exemptions/concessions given under the campaign can be reached to the general public.
